Lucas was a botanist and medical practitioner, who discovered the healing properties of papaw. His extensive research into the qualities of papaw led him to develop Lucas' Papaw Ointment, a formula that has remained unchanged for over a century.

Today, the tradition continues. The finest fresh papaws from Far North Queensland are hand selected, fermented and produced in a local Brisbane facility. Our fermentation process delivers an exceptional concentration of the healing enzymes of papaw. Papaw has powerful antibacterial, antiseptic and antimicrobial qualities, and is rich in antioxidants, papains and nutrients. With healing and cleansing properties, Lucas' Papaw Ointment contains no glycerine, palm oil, sodium lauryl sulphate, talc or shellac.

Lucas' Papaw Ointment is a topical skin application to relieve symptoms of cuts, scratches, abrasions and minor wounds, dry lips, insect bites, heat rash, mild burns, mild sunburn, skin cracking, nappy rash and chafing.

Apply a thin layer of ointment to the affected area as needed or directed by your health professional.

If symptoms persist, talk to your health professional.

Immediate treatment of burns should be application of cold water for ten minutes. Only to be used for minor burns after initial first aid treatment. Medical advice should be sought for serious burns.
